You must be a Brooksie collector with all the uncut sheets w/Brooks included!

Default 74 Deckle

I admit to going somewhat overboard wit this set. I have it completed in
deckled gray back and am 2 cards short of finishing it in deckled white back ( Bowa and Fisk). I also have it done in proof or undeckled cards cut from sheets, a mix of gray and whites. The two proof sheets are blank back grays.

As a set collector I don't collect players per se

Al,

That proof sheet is an awesome piece. If you have some time I'd really like to view your Brooks grey back white back and sheet cut version.

Oh...I was just kidding about you being a Brooks collector (but wouldn't mind adding another one to the fold ).

Al, do the white backs have gloss that is kind of "tacky" when touched?

Default Brooks Robinson Deckle

Al,

Thanks so much for posting those Brooksie Deckles. I have one deckle grey and one square non deckled (unsure what the back is). Hope to pick up the white back one day...

You are right, I only have the three Cubs players with white backs in the 1974 Topps Deckle Edge set along with the three gray back versions, but I noticed that the white backs have a sticky, splotchy, and uneven glossy coating on the front. The front of my white back Don Kessinger stuck to the clear plastic sleeve in my binder and now has a few small areas of paper loss after I tried to remove it.
