As an FYI, Topps actually released a set of cards with gold borders in 1965. It was their Topps Embossed set. Not sure if they did anything between that and the issue of your card though--I only collect from 1951-1969 and don't spend much time on the 1980-present side of this board. Chris

Good call! I don't count them though as most of those types of cards were gold. But then again, maybe that is just an excuse for me to keep with the integrity of my article title
