Bingo. As a kid the bulk of my T206's were all over the place, jumbos weren't uncommon at all. In fact lots of old school collectors used to trim down cards to fit into the sheets. I had a Magie that had this done bottom was too big so the old timer trimmed the bottom...classic card NM bottom VG top.
![]() When I came back to the hobby later after buying cars and chasing girls, I started to upgrade my set...I was amazed how many T206's now fit the exact size measurements. I'm sure it was just a coincidence that was the exact time that TPG grading showed up into the hobby. ![]() |
