My son collected Canseco as a kid and had quite a collection. This site was a good reference back then: http://www.canseconet.com/

He had a funny experience with him when getting his autograph at a show. He asked Jose to sign a kids Canseco book "To Ben, Thanks for being a fan."

I stepped back to take a pic of my son at the table with Jose, and as he was handing the book back to my son, his handler grabbed it, pointing at it to Jose. I'm confused thinking has he never seen this book before? Then Canseco gets this confused, "boy am I a dumbass" look on his face, picks up the pen and signs it? Turns out that he was so focused on signing exactly the way my son wanted, that he forgot to actually sign his name! It was pretty funny, to say the least!

So, do you just collect cards, or anything and everything Canseco?

That is hilarious! I do collect other things non-card as well, though cards are my first love.

With your history of making custom cards, I wasn't sure if this was another Mouschi's Canseco story, where you were going to out yourself as the person who made the 1982 McGwires back in the late 80s! ;-)

Glad you're cross-posting your stories. They're always worth a read.

LOL!!! I couldn't imagine a 9 year old mouschi being told by a genie from the future that he would be making cards. The genie might as well have told him that he was a millionaire!

That mouschi's grocery market story was fun, and I just may have to do something similar in the future.
