Sorry, I just read this thread for first time and just voted. I agree with others, I like your spirit for your age. As you, I dont believe ever in excuses. My father is an electrical engineer and being an immigrant, he worked during the day time and went to school at night for years to get his degree in the 1960's. He showed me nothing but work ethic. I continue as him(though in a different field) Good luck to you.

Just saw this for the first time and voted. Wish I could have seen it earlier. Incredible essay. At my college, all the freshman men were required to take a boxing class. After the first day of class, the instructor said to us. This class will probably teach you enough to get your @$$ kicked in a real street brawl; but what it will do is teach you to take a hard punch right in the face, shake it off, and then come back with more intensity." Even as a 18 year old, that lesson has stuck with me for life. You'll forever appreciate the fact that you were able to learn that lesson sooner than your peers.
