Hi Leon, Thanks for response. I actually have raw copies of Eddie and George Burns (think you're referring to Eddie) that are 2 line on bottom Fleischmann's, but no tab/coupon. I also picked up a tab-less 1 line Eddie Burns last year.
All these cards are so rare that it's possible there may not be a Ferguson (or Fleischmann) of each player still existing, but it will probably never be known if all players were included originally in each issued set. The Eddie Burns is a bit odd in that most known copies that I've seen pop up probably are 1 line versions. I know there is the 1 line tabbed copy that I think you owned? that was a Ferguson. But we've also seen the 1 line Stengle* Fleischmann copy with a coupon so there are anomalies. All of my original cards from my family were from the Fleischmann co. and even though they don't have coupons some players I've seen with 1 line of text. These include: J. Doc Johnston, Mike Mowrey, Red Smith (I had multiple Smiths from my original Fleischmann collection all with 1 line but have also since found and own a 2 line tabless copy), and the Stengle*

Forgot to add the reason why I picked up the Burns. It's sort of another minor variation. The Fleischmann is a tighter cropped photo and the Ferguson is zoomed out more including some of the logo on the Jersey. Usually I don't go after a Ferguson if I already have the Fleischmann copy but this was a variation I noticed. The copyright line is also different.
