Jantz has scans of a handful of these. If I remember right they all were
pretty much straight vertical marks.

Yes, that's correct Pat. On the Scott, the lines are vertical. There are others and all have vertical lines as well. Here is a Davidson below. Board member Mybuddyinc also had a lot of Polar Bears on Ebay that included a Davidson with the same line. This lot contained a Scott with the vertical line as well.
