Jon,
That signed candid is amazing. A young kid, with the stadium which he would eventually 'own' in the back! Did you get the picture signed, or did you purchase it that way? Beautiful signature too!

The signature "style" is 1951-52, so signed well before my time (I'm 33). Here's one other pretty cool early Mantle item. It's a 1951 GPC, postmarked the night before Mickey's first major league home run. Can't get more symbolic than that!
