I would say the price was fair for the condition that it was in. The seller also had the Boston (AL) postcard w/Cy Young as well. Of course, the Cobb rookie year was the highlight of the pair......

I actually think this went for a pretty high price; the card is as beat up as one can be -- but it is arguably the earliest Cobb card and still very rare.

Thought the price was reasonable, I don't value condition much though.

I won it. It certainly has its condition problems, but collectors seem to be a little more lenient with postcards. AFAIK it is Cobb's first "card" and from my count, only a half dozen or so are out there.

Congrats kevin! To me the condition doesn't matter that much for such an important card. Nice early image of Cobby. Congrats again.

This is the first one I've ever seen on ebay and will surely be the last. I'm actually stunned it didn't end up at an auction house. Obviously the seller had not a clue with what he had.

No, he had no clue. He thought that the Boston AL PC would sell for more than the Detroit.
