I was at the game when Craig Biggio got his 3,000th hit.
After the game they passed out a nice poster with a place to mount your ticket. A few months later Biggio was signing autographs at Minute Maid Park, so I took my poster up there and got in line. I stood in line for 30-45 minutes, and just when I was about five people from the front of the line, my son, who was about 1-1/2 at the time, took a dump in his diaper and it was NASTY! I mean terrible...everybody was moving away from us. But I had already paid, drove to the ball park, and stood in line. So I walk up to Biggio to get my poster signed and he says "Oh my God. What is that! Get it away from me!" Then he saw my boy and realized what it was. He signed my poster, but he did it with his face turned the opposite direction as if he were trying to find some good air (there wasn't any), so the auto looks a little sloppy. I still framed it. It gives me a little chuckle every time I walk past it. My boy's 8 now. He plays baseball and knows who Craig Biggio is. When he gets a little older (and has some friends over) I'm going to tell him the story of the time he crapped on a HOFer.

I went to the same schools as Biggio from grade school on but he was a year behind me and even though we played on the same teams I heard from some of his very close friends in HS that when the Astros played the Mets he was very friendly early in his career but after he got established he wanted no part of his past. I always wonder how much this is true.

Got tickets for face value the day before the game from a Fenway "insider" friend. Very good friend I might add! Took my son and it was magical.
My son went home with a winning pitcher signed John Lackey baseball so the cards were aligned....I mean the Sox were aligned! ![]() We walked 2 miles back to our hotel thru the party in the streets and got to the hotel around 1:30am. Incredible night! The next morning, we walked back to Fenway and walked around it and you could tell there was a party there the night before! Great memories! I'd probably say all of the minor league games I used to go for the Twins affiliate team New Britain Rock Cats or as they're now known Hartford Yard Goats.
I never knew why but I always loved Torii Hunter and he wasn't even a good hitter for New Britain. I met him got his autograph. I saw a lot of ML players play: Torii Hunter Doug Mientkiewicz Jaque Jones Eric Milton Alexis Rios - New Haven Ravens Josh Beckett Joe Mauer David Ortiz Jeff Bagwell - New Britain Red Sox Lew Ford and probably a whole lot more I've missed. But it was fun being a little kid and then seeing them go up to the majors after you just saw them play in person. I've been to Camden and saw Frank Thomas go 2-4 with a HR when he was on Oakland. Saw Yankees get destroyed by the Red Sox in the old Yankee Staidum Saw Cubs vs Nationals at RFK Red Sox vs Rockies the year they played each other in the WS. Phillies at their new park etc.

I was at Jim Bunning's perfect game against the Mets.
I was at the very last Giants-Dodgers game played in NYC. I was also at the game where Willis Reed walked out of the tunnel in 1970, game 7 of the NBA finals. I have the stubs from the baseball games but somehow have misplaced the Knicks stub.
