Thanks Jim.

The Novelty Johnson is a nice card, may be the only from the set where I prefer the pc796 counterpart though, closer-up cropping of the image and they got his name right. Both are great cards though!

Very cool postcard, Jeff. My research shows that it's either 1929 or 1930 based on the uniform style, same both years.

Thanks Phil! The reverse has an AZO stamp box with the four squares so that's how I got my dates, thanks for narrowing it down for me!

1906 Shreveport Pirates, Southern Association (the earliest team pc I've seen from that league)

1906 V.O. Hammon Publications, Chicago #320 Postcard

I was born in Aurora IL, so this postcard has special meaning to me. It depicts a "Bunch of Baseball Fans" standing outside the Beacon-News Building (the town's newspaper published continuously since 1846) getting updates on the 1906 World Series between the Cubs and White Sox. There was probably a chalkboard in the window where ticker-tape updates were relayed and posted for all to see.
