I recently bought a beautifully framed October 10 1910 The Cleveland Leader newspaper highlighting Lajoie beating out Cobb for the batting title in 1910. There was a book written about this titled The Chalmers Race, which I just picked up also. I already had a green Cobb so I had to get a Lajoie portrait to go with.
This portrait ranks up there with the WaJo portrait IMHO; but you have to find the right one...without lipstick. ![]() |
