Sean, you are welcome. Help is what this board should be about.

There's a Killefer on eBay at the moment, $200 or best offer. That seems high to me, but I live in the past when it comes to prices. If it were a regular auction I'd think it would go for much less.

Post a few of those Cubs as you gather them, please!

Get one of Mr. Sugar's books. Get copies of Mr. Lipset's 3 books. A Standard catalog or Vintage catalog would be good. After that, maybe an American Card Catalog (which you'd seldom use, but occasionally find great).

If you have any questions about e120 pricing, I can probably help. I'm about 60% of the way done with my set. Now is a good time to buy imo as prices have been soft.

Luke, I have been soft on buying this set, as Ack has most of our time on the 1970 topps baseball set.
But I do miss it!!! Hope we get done with it soon so i can go back to the E120's.

The E122s are quite difficult in comparison to the other two. They're more comaprable in scarcity to the E123 Curtis Irelands. If that Killefer Frank alludes to is nice, $200 is not an outrageous price. The thing is, if you pass on it, you may not see another one for a good while. I may have one or two of the Cubs. My site is currently down, but I can send you some scans if you'd like.

Default E220 fan

Actually the Hendrix is a E220 National Caramel card. In my opinion E220 cards are nicer looking than the E122s, which have coarse, grainy images, but the trade off is E220 cards are quite often found with horribly misshapen borders.

All of the E121-80's should be available except Alexander (Hands Above Head) and Killefer (Spelled Killifer). I think we decided awhile back that they may not exist. I've never seen "Killifer" and and can't recall the second Alexander pose.

I think Kevin is correct, and this is an example of the occasional error in Mr. Sugar's work. Still, it is a great resource... it had the team listings.

The 4th edition of the Standard Catalog of Vintage Baseball cards lists a Grover Alexander card, and expresses doubt about the existence of a G. C. Alexander card. It lists a Killifer card and a Killefer card. And I don't know about the existence. Maybe search for an E121 thread here.

As for collecting these rascals, put together a few eBay searches, using the E numbers, "American Caramel", the player names, Cubs... Maybe look at some dealer sites.
