There is a story behind this picture. Supposedly Hartnett was called into Com. Landis' office the next time the Cubs were in New York. Landis told Gabby not to pose for pictures with Capone anymore, because it was bad for MLB's image.
Hartnett replied: "Okay, but you tell that to Capone." I don't know if that's true or not, but it makes for a great story.
