All I REALLY know about Jeters signature is that people right now think ALOT about their "supposed value" at this moment. Dont get me wrong Jeter a great player but the prices some of these dealers are asking for and autograph that 5 years ago would have set you back 50 to 75 bucks is crazy now! not like the guy has stopped signing. Crazy!

Jeter has been out of that price range for much longer than 5 years.

Derek, it is crazy!!!

I own eight Derek Jeter rookie (1996) signed baseballs and I believe I never paid more than $175.00 for any of them.

If you want to collect/own Jeter sigs, get his early sigs.

I was fortunate enough to get him on all his RCs and a few 94 and 95 cards when he was coming up through the minors. The only thing I'll be ponying up the dough for now will be a HOF plaque postcard in 5 years. I should probably start stashing money away for that now...

Right. And if he is still with Steiner, you can look forward to the Steiner sticker on the front of the plaque like they do with all of their clients.

Ugh. I had already consigned myself to the fact that Steiner would make Jeet's plaque some overpriced exclusive, but I hadn't even thought about that stupid sticker.
