![]() These are believed to date from the 1930s. They were made in Italy and this example was sold via Comoy's of London who were well known pipe makers and tobacco distributors (their label is on the bottom) dating back to the 1880s. It's metal with porcelain lining and stands 8" tall. The baseball scene is well executed and only appears on one side. The figural baseball on the lid is a wonderful design feature that is sometimes missing. ![]()
