Hank Aaron help

Am looking at this item on eBay. If genuine, it's seems like a neat add to my Aaron collection. Any opinions are greatly appreciated.

This does not come close to matching Hank Aaron's handwriting, IMHO.

Darn! The writing looked different to me, but I couldn't imagine why a forger would go to the trouble of writing so much--I wonder if it was just a guy who happened to be Hank giving a gift to a friend. But either way, thanks. I trust the expertise here quite a bit.

Since it starts with "hank" saying after reading this book, I think one can safely assume he was not the one writing it. Although plenty of people have written books it seemed they never read.

I would assume this is a gift inscription from someone who happened to be named Hank. Seems like a really bizarre choice of a dedication for a forger to attempt.

Bingo. I work for a "Friends of the Library" organization and occasionally we will get a book written by a famous person with a gift inscription by a person who just happens to have the same first name.

The funniest one was a "Hilary" (one L) who gifted a Hillary (two L's) Clinton book to someone named Nancy and wrote a nice inscription on the title page. One of our volunteers got all excited until I pointed this out, then showed her the cover, which had a printed version of Clinton's signature on it and the handwriting wasn't even close.

I think it MAY say, "After reading this week..." Hard to tell though.

I thought the **** was also curious here, so I checked the original Ehrenreich quote to see what bad words "Hank" was avoiding. None, it turns out.

Update - I have just learned from the seller that he has a COA from noted hobbyist Bill Mastro establishing with 110% certainty that Hank Aaron wrote this within mere seconds of crossing home plate after home run 715, and even used the very pen that Branch Rickey used when he signed Jackie Robinson. Incredible!!!

The "Hank" signature looks more like Hank Greenberg to me... but he died in 1986.
