I liked that Pepper Martin. Then again I was a bidder on all the photos with children, but tried a little harder for the Cardinals players.

I just got spread way too thin this time around and still happy with what I got.

Did anyone get the Pete Gray batting with Nelson? I love that photo, even when my wife saw it she just said "YES!" I asked what that meant she said I should buy it, but when I saw that it was a wire photo of a lesser known player I thought it was going to be easier to get and didn't put in a high enough bid.

I hope to find an original someday.

I've got my eye on some of the non-sport photos ending over the next couple days. There's some incredible stuff in there.

I also did some research on my Lefty Gomez photo and found out it was taken on Opening Day 1937. Lefty pitched that day, though he did suffer a loss. However, Lefty would go on to win the Triple Crown in 1937 and go 2-0 in the series.

I won the Cy Young who was an instructor in the Doan Baseball School in
1938. I loved his great pitching pose at 71 years old!

great acquisitions, fellows.

best,
barry
