Here is one I think I have the answer to, but leave it to the brains of this group to prove me wrong.
Which former all-star had his last regular issue Topps player card made more than a year after he had played his last Major League game (i.e., the stats on the back would show no games played that prior season)? The forum I chose for this question provides a good hint.

Sounds like Jackie Jensen's 1961 Topps issue, he retired after the 1959 season, but he did come back briefly in '61.

Right, but how about a card long after a player's very last game?

What about the 1966 Topps Dick Ellsworth, this card shows Ken Hubbs TWO years after getting killed in a February, 1964 plane crash!

Ouch! Will make that Honorable Mention. But this is just a player's regular issue card, not a cameo appearance.

I checked a few players I thought might be the answer, but didn't find it.

Probably would have never guessed that. Interesting. Wonder why he got that card after all? Maybe a well timed comeback attempt around the time they were building the checklist? He did play AAA in 1982.
