'72 all the way. They're the bomb man! They remind me of those cool Filmore rock and roll posters from the 60's. Each a work of art unto itself.

I love this!

1. 1977 - first year I really collected baseball cards. Really loved the Rose and Garvey cards from that set along with the All-Star cards

2. 1978 - Nice clean front and good photography

3. 1971 - love the black borders and photography

4. 1976 - What a baseball card should look like

I really like the 70 set. Backs are clear and easy to read. High numbers are somewhat tough. No Mantle card to contend with... The problem I have with the 71 set, is I just feel that the slightest wear makes it look crummy. A mid grade set that has white borders is OK with me, but a slightly off grade 71 set. No thanks. I also like the 78 set quite a bit. 75 is a classic in my opinion and in time I feel it will be the most recent set that people will really care about / get behind.

The best way to enjoy the "ugly" 1972 set is to put the cards together by team:

Default 1972

Great cards Bob (even if they are all Reds), and from the best set of the 70s
