I'm also a life long Phillies fan,and was always a fan of Jimmy.Living in Berks County Pa I was lucky to get to see him play at AA Reading.I have a feeling Hamels is next.

I'm a big Phillies fan and I know we have to rebuild..but do we have to rebuild the same time the 76ers are rebuilding?? C'mon, what am I supposed to watch after football season?! J-Roll was a very good player for a long and i'm going to miss him.

I am happy for Jimmie.
Sad for myself, since this is the inevitable end of the era. It's been good to be a Phillies fan recently. We've seen the highs and lows and some all-time great Phillies. We will be back, and look back at this core with fondness. I've loved it, hated it and been drained with emotion following every game. It is , after all , the greatest game. I started rooting for my beloved Phillies in 1972. I'm not changing now, even though they may not see the top of the standings for awhile  Go win another title Jimmie!
