so after ebay fees you got less than what you asked for it here...the net money to you..that was my point ..whats your point? ...
what was your initial price $650 if memory serves me right? ..you never countered..but got 100+ less on ebay.. (you also forgot the point on the email when you would not counter the offer when i said i would wait for a price reduction on BST which apparently happened but i never saw it) .still dont know why you would bring up a first offer when you dont talk about the price you wanted at the time..funny... plus i just joking around....as the PSA 5 jackie sold for 1000 more than i asked for it on here.....i dont think your net loss on the T202 is the same situation.that was the joke....dont take it so personal man...(you trying to find old email offers..haha) Last edited by 1952boyntoncollector; 12-04-2014 at 07:20 AM. |

it sold for less on ebay that what was asked on B/S/T.
Those are your words. You didn't say anything about net of fees. And you were wrong. I remember your offer, I don't need to read old emails. When someone offers half of what a card is worth, I usually don't bother countering, because I know it isn't going anywhere. Either the buyer takes me for a fool, or isn't serious. And I don't take it, or you, personally at all. Just correcting the record.

you are right..i didnt say net......so if you sell a card for 400 on ebay but net 100 for argument purposes and asked for 300..on b/s/t you are right you got more on ebay...i just assumed it was the net money that mattered.
I dont know, first offers that lead to sales that are initially 60% of what the the net price the actual card sold for is do work out sometimes in possible deals....maybe you dont counter those type of offers and just do price reductions but thats fine.. also remember you didnt sell the card at a true auction..would of been interesting to see what the card would of sold for..but you were able to find one buyer to pay your price....congrats man more power to you... the jackie psa 5 sold in a true no reserve market price..so again we are comparing apples to oranges..maybe the jackie should of been listed for $3000..who knows maybe the same guy that bought your card would of bought that card! |

I don't agree that a BIN is not a true market price, or that an auction -- particularly a PWCC auction -- is. If someone is willing to pay a list price, then to me that's as good a definition of a market price as any; or if it isn't, then I guess I don't care what a market price is or isn't. You seem very focused on the concept of market price, I guess I am not really sure why. BTW if you or I or anyone else here had put that Jackie on ebay starting at 9.99 it goes nowhere close to that price, in my opinion. Why that is, don't get me started.
PS I think I started the Speaker at 600 as I had pointed out the last one sold at 630 which only would have been a helpful point if I had been asking less.

i actually look at the number of bids above a certain price..in a BIN you really dont know if that was the only one willing to go to within 5% of a certain price...
on the jackie psa 5 for example..there were 3 bidders over $2300 or so..i could be wrong..but for argument purposes..if there are 3 bidders prepared to go over 2300 you probably have a better idea that the card is worth 2300 versus a BIN for 2300... when i have talked market value on past sales with forum members i have been told on more than one occasion that they dont count BIN's and only look a cards that sold with multiple bids on the price history...so to each their own |
