WOW! Tremendous acquisition Scott... those items really belonged in your collection. What a miracle that they survived, and made it to their proper home!
And kudos to Chris Gamble for enabling it to happen... Just another one of the "good guys" on net54!

I actually did know that this medal existed. Barry Halper owned one which sold in an catalogue auction within the last year. Unfortunately I missed it and have been kicking myself ever since. However, I did not know that there was more than one until this one became available recently. I don't know how many of these were given out, but I do know that they are scarce, FWIW. I'm very happy to add this one because it really falls into the sweet spot of my Vander Meer collection- Everything related to his historic 1938 season in which he threw an unprecedented back-to-back no-hitters.
