Default swimming pools

bring down the value of the house versus sales price versus cost of the pool....mantles seem to go up.

Default email from seller

That feedback will be removed. Never received payment from that guy. Giving
the card back to the owner and telling him to use an auction house instead.

thats what he emailed me..

For 20k there should be some way to do the deal in person. I did it with a 20k ebay deal not too long ago. I got a board member near where the seller was to take the guy a big pile of cash. It worked well. I have done it several times with a bit smaller amounts but on deals I wanted to be safer on. All have been fine and never an issue.

Or use a mutually trusted intermediary.

If the buyer really did not pay, feedback certainly should have been gone by now.

It sounds fishy to me. I agree with Leon for a 20k card you should be able to arrange a meeting in person. 20k + a plane ticket is still a steal for a PSA 5 52 Mantle. If he's not willing to do that you know something is wrong.

You will never recoup the cost of a pool. When you try to sell, too many people will view a pool as an expense, and if potential buyers have children, a pool is more often viewed as a danger.

Repaint the house, modest landscaping, update the kitchen and bathroom hardware, and you can still have the '52 Mantle AND increase the value of your home!
