Simple supply and demand
Supply= 1
Demand = 2+ price is reflective of the 2+ wanting that bat more than wanting an extra 50K I have a few one of a kind items, I wish I could find 2 or more people who would want any of them that much! PT Barnum I believe once said "A fool and his money are soon parted" - then again "A fool" who has 50k to sink into that bat may not be such a fool - perhaps the fool is me!
