Not quite....but close enough.

On Oct 16th, Reggie hits a HR in his last AB in the 5th game.

In the 6th game, Reggie Walks in his 1st AB.

Then he proceeds to hit his dramatic 3 consecutive HR's (each on the 1st pitch, off 3 different Dodger pitchers).

Season ends.

Reggie's 1st AB in the 1978 season is a HR.

And to make it even better, at least the first four were all one swing at bats, if memory serves.

That's correct....Thurman Munson and Reggie hit back-to-back HR's off Sutton. Reggie's HR was off Sutton's 1st pitch.

Reggie homered in the home opener in 1978 but not in the season opener.
