Matt, I love to hear people say they are buying a photo because it's a good photograph. This one is definitely deserving of paying a premium.

I’m pretty excited to add this early 70’s original Clemente 8X10 to my collection. It has the photographers stamp on the reverse. It appears to be from the same photo shoot that generated the image used for the Rawlings Advisory Staff Member photo. Prior to this one arriving today I did not have an attractive original photo of him in the uniform of my ’71 Bucs. Every time a nice one comes up for auction I am a chronic under bidder. The eBay scans did not do it justice so I gambled and made an offer. I got it very cheaply

It's pretty rare to see Roberto in uniform without long sleeves.

Mike notice the stripes on the sleeves are reversed. The manufacturer made a mistake on that batch of jerseys. I've seen a couple of these jerseys. Cool photo.

Great Clemente pick-up Mike. You should be thrilled to add that to your Bucs collection.

John, Clint, and Adam, thanks for the nice comments. I didn't even notice the reversal of the stripes or consider that he was sleeveless. I was very happy to add it to my collection at a price that didn't dampen my enthusiasm. This is why I prefer memorabilia over cards. There are still the occasional trinkets available to be found by the diligent collector on a budget
