Yeah, although the scan heightens that effect, it's much better in hand (or with a good scanner

While it is not a flattering image his 1931 W517 card has in my opinion his most compelling portrait. Even at the height of his accomplishments and fame Pete was always battling an array of personal demons. The stark, weathered face on that card is a testament to his struggle.

Thanks for sharing, love the cards. But put me down for a 1916 m101 type card, I like the photo. Just checked ebay, not a one to be found any grade either SGC or PSA, hmmm, that scarce? Anybody have a nicely centered SGC/PSA 5 or 6 - would go a tad over SMR.
