Giants fan.....in the late 80s, Candlestick crowds would chant back and forth "oooo" and "rebay" for SS Jose Uribe. I loved those late 80s teams.
I wanted ooo-rebay for ebay but you can't have ebay in your name ![]()

My user name is the only 'proper' nickname I received during the twenty or so years I pitched locally in high school, college, and semipro / industrial leagues.
David Clyde's debut spurred the conjunction with my last name Culpepper. We were both lefties making our first big slash, though mine was in a considerably smaller body of water. Clyde actually came here to Columbus in 1981 to almost resurrect his career - he was great here at AA, but did not do well enough at AAA to get back to the Bigs. He was only here for about a month and by the time I heard about it, he was gone. Another leisure activity lost to Retail Management.

Mine is a childhood nickname based on my last name. Hardly anybody other than my parents, my wife, and a couple co-workers calls me by real name. To everybody else, it's "Tabe".
As for the avatar, well, a few years back there was a web site where you could submit a photo and it would create a "Simpsons" character of you based on your photo. A co-worker friend of mine did that for our entire group, with hilarious results. Mine actually is a fairly good representation of what I actually look like and so I've adopted it as an avatar. In 2000 I tried to get University of Wisconsin vanity plates with FKM BKY. Translates to Fu#% Em Bucky. Unfortunately the one smart person at the DMV saw it and nixed the idea. It then became a common interweb user name for me.

Two meanings, but neither lewd.
Swarmee: college nickname since I was the leader of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket student cheering section called The Swarm from 1997-2002. I also graduated as an EE (Electrical Engineer), so swarm EE also works. Amazingly coincidental, a year after I started cheering for Tech, M&Ms came out with a plush toy in their "Swarmees" line called "Yellin' Yellow". Does it look like me? ![]() Here is one of myself during those college years: ![]()

Mine should be pretty obvious to all metal heads and possibly no one else. A play on the name of the band who released the greatest album (to that point and still) of all time. Feel free to bash that last statement, won't make a bit of difference to me

In college I was hired for surveillance in a divorce case. One night the boyfriend called 911 on me, and the tape was played in court to corroborate my notes. On the call, he called me "some deertick on the assh--e of a hound."
Most times when asked, I usually reply that "bleeding hemorrhoid" was already taken.

My aol screenname was the names of my two dogs at the time, Clyde and Wally. Have kept it since then for other uses. No baseball connection, but Clyde's full name was Clyde Bradley Debusschere. From back in the days when the Knicks were actually a pleasure to watch.

Mine is dull. When I set up my first ever e-mail account I naively chose the address hrosen@hotmail.com. At that time there were evidently 37 other H Rosen's who had the same idea so hotmail suggest the 38. Occasional memory lapses force me to use similar e-mail/log-in names for all of my non-financial accounts so I have simply stuck with the 38.

I used my first name back on the Full Count Board, but it seems like John was a common name back in the early part of this century, so I switched to my Ebay handle, which is really my dad's ebay name. So basically my name since before we switched over from FCB to Net54 has been my dad's ebay name. He likes Camaros, his initials are JD, not much else to it.

The Scooper.........
When I was in bomb disposal in the British Army, I would always let the rest of the crew pick which areas to clear first and I would take what was left, 99 times out of a hundred I would find the most unexploded ordnance. I would then "scoop all the glory" Simple |
