Very nice, Raymond! I take it baseball card purchases are qualified purchases towards eBay bucks? If so, I might have to sign up.

Ronald and Jesse-really nice Goudey additions. I love those cards. The first two years are my favorites.

Derek-that's a beautiful pic. Do you find these cdvs on eBay, or somewhere else? I'd love to add a couple of those to my collection when I begin to branch out.

Tony, congrats on adding the Old Mill. That's one of my favorite cards in the entire set. All three of Lajoie's cards are excellent. I can't wait to own them, but the portrait most of all.

Luke-you've got a great eye. While you're adding these tougher backs, you're not sacrificing anything. These cards might be lower on the technical grading scale, but they hav fabulous eye appeal. And that to me matters more than anything.

Great start to the month, guys.

Don't have this one in hand yet (hence the poor quality pic) but its on the way. George "Grin" Bradley (Sioux City) 1889 Uhlman Cabinet with the same pose as his N172. I don't own the N172 in the scan, just added it to show the pose. This is my first cabinet, hopefully more to come!

I know it looks rough, but that is a 1913 Oakland Oaks team issue Mitze, hard to find in any condition. I also added a 1911 Obak Sutor to my Sutor run, and my first Briggs. One very happy PCL collector (and the Briggs). Thanks to a board member for the awesome PCL cards.

Jimi - nice lookin' Yogi rookie!

Bill - the CDV was from a private sale. These particular ones from Warren Studios are very tough to find (near impossible might be more like it). The cabinet came from Legendary Auctions.

Luke - I'm not a t206 guy, but those Hindu's look awesome!

Wow, really nice stuff this month so far. Derek - I'm speechless. Those look like they belong in a museum, congrats!

Being part of this forum for over a year and a half now and seeing all the different "cards", I've starting expanding my collection to include Cabinets, Postcards, Exhibits, Premiums, etc. My latest purchase can't compete with what has been posted here so far, but I think it's neat. I like when the players are identified even if it can't be verified:

Thanks!! I've always admired cabinets, glad I finally pulled the trigger.

I wish I had the money to focus on Old Judge proof cabinets. Such a cool history behind how the Old Judge pictures were assembled.

Bill-

Well, I spent too much - again - last quarter - $500 is the most you can earn and it's mostly @ 2%, but they had double, triple, and quadruple point days periodically - and if you have the good luck to have something you want come up during that time, all the better...certainly better than nothing.

When I saw that I had reached $500 in EBucks, I curtailed my spending, until late last night when those became available.

Now, here's an "error card" before there where "error cards."

I'm with you, Jason. Being a member of Net 54 has not only exposed me to more cards I want to buy-cards that I might not have ever seen-but it's caused me to redefine what I call a card. A card has always been 2.5" x 3.5". I've known there were other card out there in different sizes, but it's wonderful thinking that cabinets, and post cards, etc can fall into the same definition.

I think it's a truly wonderful example of what can happen, not just in the hobby, but in life, when you educate yourself, and open your mind. I think it's a good thing when we open our mind, and reexamine some of our preconceived notions.

Raymond, that's cool. Considering how much I spend on eBay, and how much I will be spending, 2% will add up fast. Even if it's just within a 3 month period, I can time my card buying to fall within a three month period, and end up with something nice. If nothing else, it would serve as a substantial discount on one of the T206 cards I want to buy, and that's always welcomed.

I know this is slightly post war and apologize. But very excited to have won this 1948-49 Toleteros card of Francisco Coimbre. He was a great hitter and 2 time Negro League All Star. After his career he became a scout for the Pirates and is credited with convincing them to take a chance on Roberto Clemente.

Nice card! If I had the collecting budget I dream of I would turn into a Negro League hoarder!

Thanks. I know he might not be a household name but Coimbre is a legend in Puerto Rico. They named a museum after him in Ponce. Here's a quote from Satchel Paige on what it was like to pitch to him:

Satchel Paige stated “Coimbre could not be pitched to. No one gave me more trouble than anyone I ever faced, including Josh Gibson and Ted Williams.”

Here are 4 cards that I bought at a local show today - thanks Tony for the Monster Cards! I saw a Bresnahan earlier in this thread. I forgot (did I ever know?) that he finished his career with the Cubs (player manager in 1915). Not to turn this into one of those HOF threads, but if not for the shin guards would he have been elected (in 1945 by the Veterans Committee)? I like the McGraw pose in his sweater.
