And we end the "Mr. T206 Competition" with a final battle of two worthy candidates, with widely acclaimed portraits (not to mention, the best pitcher and batter of their time)...

In the left corner, standing at 6'1" and weighing in at 200 lbs., sporting a career record of 417-279 with 3509 KOs, Walter "The Big Train" Johnson!
... and in the right corner, standing at 6'1" and weighing 175 lbs., with a lifetime 4189 hits and 879 stolen bases, "The Georgia Peach" Ty Cobb!

Who shall be crowned "Mr. T206"?

To honor our finalists, all are encouraged to post their examples of these two fine subjects!

See their respective paths to the finals via the updated bracket here: www.challonge.com/mrt206

To give all who want to a chance to vote, the poll will be left open though the weekend, and I will call the result when I get to work Monday morning (i.e. in the middle of Sunday night, for most of you!).

Ladies and gentleman, it is settled...

Walter "The Big Train" Johnson

wins the "Mr. T206" competition, steamrolling the great Ty Cobb 26-11 in the finals!

The final updated bracket is at: http://www.challonge.com/mrt206

Thanks to all who participated the past couple of weeks!

Cheers, David

David, great thread. That was a lot of fun. Why don't you do the same thing with non- portraits? You could start with:

Cobb bat off shoulder
Mathewson dark cap
Chase dark cap
Mike Mitchell
Speaker
Donlin fielding

and I'm sure some other members can come up with some more suggestions.

Another idea would be portraits from other sets and then have a new bracket where the winners from each set go up against each other. Either way I am not ready for the fun to end either. haha.

I agree. I had a lot of fun following along and voting.
How about 4 brackets:
caramel bracket
gum bracket
t bracket
other candy bracket

Could potentially have CJ Joe Jackson against the e102 Cobb
