I find SMR to be a disappointing publication on many levels. And I say that with extreme hesitation because I hate being negative about anything hobby related. I'm always disappointed with the lack of serious content...every article is just a summary of the top sets in their set registry for whichever issue they are featuring that month. And the price guide only chooses to include some sets every month...but always the same sets.
I just wish the content was more serious. I don't care who has the #1 rated set on the registry for whichever featured issue they are writing about. I'd like to read more about the history of the hobby, interesting facets of baseball card history, etc. And I'd like it if the price guide was more dynamic. So many sets are ignored. Why not change every month which sets are listed? Probably a little too much whining in this post...
