I have two issues with SGC holders (could not care less about the flips). One, as mentioned, they scratch incredibly easily -- almost every SGC card I have purchased has had a holder that was beat to --- and they don't polish out well either. And they also get these tiny pinsize cracks which shine very brightly under a light and are very distracting. Two, sometimes the cards slide under the gaskets in shipping.

Although I don't collect like the majority on this site... mostly wish I could... from a purely aesthetic point of view: they're both ugly as hell.

Why can't these companies come up with something simple and pleasing to the eye, while getting the job done? Think of this as a frame for a painting. Keep it elegant and simple so it doesn't distract from the main focus... the card it's holding. Hell, they should come up with multiple frames for different eras, too.

Just my two cents.

99% of my graded cards are SGC. Today, I received three packages containing 5 graded cards, all which happen to be PSA. It's been quite a while since I've bought a PSA card. I stacked all 5 and set them on my safe to put them away later, and then I noticed something - some of the cases were different. Three of the cases were the new tamper resistant cases that I'd heard about, two were the older cases. It's easy to tell the difference when they're stacked together. I must say that I really, really like the new tamper resistant cases.
