Thanks Leon. I figure if I can't afford a Ruth card with the Red Sox I'll go with a Ruth photo from that time. lol

Anybody else having problems using the "Sold" & "Completed" items tab for particular sellers?
Was curious about the ending prices for the Yee auctions, but the listings seem to just disappear when they end unless they are saved on a watch list somewhere. Another Ebay "enhancement"? |

![]() Any idea how long they've been doing that for? Can't be long ago I was regularly checking ended listings as soon as they were over. Secondly, why to begin with? ![]() |

FWIW, you can still see the results immediately after if you were "watching" the item, had bid on it (can see it in your own bid history), or if you know the specific item number to key into the search window. As Brock said though, the results are hidden from completed listings searches and links for 24 hours. I usually don't have a problem waiting for the items to reappear (or was already watching it anyway), but I agree that with certain "event" auctions like Henry's, it's frustrating to not be able to immediately see the results. ![]()

I won a photo of Jackie Robinson winning the 1950 MVP award. My question is
(I did message the seller), why on the back of the photo is the date June 29 1995 stamped on it. I have not got an answer back yet so I thought I would ask here. I also found two other auctions by another seller with the same photo that was a copy. Any answers to my dilemma? |

There isn't a problem with your Robinson photo. News photos were often re-used, re-cataloged and re-filed over the years and can have multiple date stamps from those events. It's not rare for a news photo to have multiple date stamps. The earliest date stamp on yours dates the photo to 1950.
The original newspaper clipping pasted on back is also a good sign of old age, as that was common newspaper procedure with vintage photos. They did that (along with with stamping the date) to catalog and document the the caption for the photo before putting it in their files. Last edited by drcy; 09-16-2014 at 12:28 PM. |

Might have been published again on that date. Can't read what is
written in front of it, but just a guess. |
