Maybe not historic, but 1977 at Yankee stadium. Toby Harrah and Bump Wills hit back-to-back inside the park home runs. Both to right field. Pretty sure it was Piniella. I think it is the only time it has ever happened.

I guess you're alluding to Tom Seaver's 300-game win at Yankee Stadium.
Yes, we were there....but, I have long ago forgotten it. Ted-- I'm sure you thought the highlight of the day was when the yankees retired phil rizzuto's number 10 in the pre-game ceremony. Handsome Dan
