That's pretty cool, Bob - a 90 year old advertising piece in NM condition, that no one has heard of. That's amazing luck!

Default Wilson Alvarez no-hitter game ball- Jeff Torborg collection

I recently picked up a neat item for my no-hitter collection.

Here is a game used ball from CWS pitcher Wilson Alvarez's no-hitter on August 11, 1991 @ Baltimore.

My real interest in this ball stems from the fact that Alvarez was the youngest pitcher to ever hurl a no-hitter in the modern era (post 1903). He pitched the no-hitter at age 21 and 5 months and it occurred in only his 2nd career ML start (and his 1st start with the Chicago White Sox after being traded by the Texas Rangers).

The ball originated directly from Jeff Torborg's personal collection and originally was in the July 15th, 2014 All Star auction. Jeff Torborg was the White Sox skipper in 1991. The ball has been signed by Alvarez on the sweet spot and Torborg added the notation "No-hitter vs. Baltimore" on the side panel.

I don't own the original lineup card that was filled out in Torborg's hand but it's cool to look at. Recent HOF'er Frank Thomas also hit a early career HR in this game to provide some of the offense in support of young Alvarez's gem.

Haven't posted pickups in a while, but here is my newest Type 1 photo.
1932 WS of Lou and Babe. condition isn't great, but I've never seen the image before and thought it was cool.
(Before anyone says anything. I am starting to watermark my photos because I am tired of seeing copies of them being sold on ebay. Maybe not all came from me, but I know some did. If someone wants a clean copy for themselves, shoot me a PM.)

Picked up this presentation clock given to Phil Niekro from th Braves 400 Club for being their Pitcher of the Year in 1969. Not really a fan of the modern autograph on it, but guy I got it from had Phil sign it.

Side view of the clock:
