Are the fronts textured or smooth?
The common type of postcard from the 40's into the 50's was textured. Postcard collectors refer to them as "linnens" And that's just right for the texture. The backs look right, and Curteich was a huge producer for years. But their printing was typically much crisper. The use of a 50's card and a 20's card - A strip card for Ruth- Makes me think they're a modern fantasy glued to an old postcard. Steve B |
