Thanks Sean. Clear glue residue on the back which is very difficult to see.

These were graded a long time ago, before PSA realized there were other issues of R314 besides ''1936'' .... ....Fortunately I see no real need to upgrade these which is good because finding these guys in a ''5'' or ''6'' would cause a missed car payment on the Park Avenue. ...it would appear that the large inviting blank backs of the fine/wide pens mid-thirties photo/cards and premiums and exhibits were considered perfect for noting batting averages and ERA's and trades and of course the owner's name and address and grade and school . We call it ''provenance'' ; graders call it '' A Two ''. |

I call them fantastic buys that please the eye every bit as much (or more) than higher graded examples, while leaving much loot left over for other stuff
Awesome cards.

Matt, I love seeing your collection. I hadn't seen that D304 Cobb before. That's one of my all-time favorites. I plan to pick one of those up sometime in the next 40 years
That green Cobb is incredible, as is the Leach. Lots of awesome cards, thanks for posting guys!

Can't believe I forgot these T205s. And I had to slip in one non-sport.

I have long jocked Dean's SGC Green Cobb, but that T205 is fresh news to me-- such an amazing card. What a sick value. The edges are gorgeous and the white baseball is so clean-- no intruding red. That T205 Cobb is a much harder card to find in nice shape than one initially imagines.
Thx regarding the cards and yes on the Ruth back; here it is... Luckiest damage ever, as a centered example with no horizontal print line and an intact back would not have been within budget; and all I do is stare at the front of cards with blank or ad backs, as opposed to stat/bio backs.
