Default "Its a T207 thing - you wouldn't understand..."

Hey Brad,

Not sure I'd go as far as calling it "the hate", but T207's are an certainly an odd beast. You have only to search the forum and read the number of (relatively few) posts to realize that it does seem to be sort of a "love or hate" relationship with the set. That said, I tend to think of it as either disinterest or obsession. The posters enamored with the set (myself included) has been pretty stable, consistent, and in the relative minority here over the last few years.

Speculation as to why the set remains of lesser interest than its T205 and T206 "brethren" takes a variety of shapes. I'm sure you'll come up with a few.

FWIW, the NY team (Highlanders, pre-Yankees) are one of the easier team sets to complete, depending on condition you're after. (You could get 8 of the 9 you have listed today, for example). Only Hoff will set you back much and take any time, though these days there are others that come up less often.
