Default National

I will be at the National the entire time (Tuesday thru Saturday) at the Goldin Auctions booth. A few quick things:

1) I consider my role at Goldin (or anywhere for that matter) as an opportunity to serve others. That said, if there is anyway I can assist anyone here in any way please let me know. That includes helping you even if you are not doing business with us.

2) While many of you know my past experience had a high degree of focus on game used memorabilia, I have been doing more recently with trading cards and autographed memorabilia. As such, although I don't post on here often, I enjoy reading some of your posts and would love to chat about cards at the National with anyone interested.

3) I was very happy to see LeBron coming back to Cleveland. I hope with LeBron, and the supporting cast they are assembling, the team can bring much needed enthusiasm (at least for sports) to a city that needs it. Also, I figure any city that names their basketball team the "Cavaliers" can't be all bad

Looking forward to seeing some of you there!

Sincerely,
Chris

For those of you with more Cleveland knowledge than me - what is the best way to get to/from the convention center to downtown Cleveland?

thanks

Bob

I-71 North. The IX Center is right by an entrance ramp for 71. This will take you right into downtown Cleveland.

Where are you going downtown and I can maybe give you more specific directions.

Default cab fare to ballpark

Paul

Can you "guesstimate" how much cab fare would be from a hotel near the IX Center to Progressive Field? And would finding a taxi post-game be at all problematic?

Thank you

If it's anything like LA rates it would be roughly $50-$60.

Sean's probably right, about 50 bucks one way.

There is a commuter train that makes a stop in the airport and goes downtown (costs $2-3 1way). I would suggest that. IX Center i right next to the airport.

Bob - See if your hotel shuttle can take you to one of the commuter train stops, if not directly downtown.

The Rapid located in the Airport - $2-3 1way. Drops you off in Tower City, next to the casino, a short walk to Jacobs Field.
