How did your father define the "entire set" ? Did he actually have a Wagner? Just curious.

He actually had three Wagners, though not all at the same time. My father was also involved with setting up various other collectors with their own T206 Wagner cards. This was all in the late 60's to mid 80's.

Only card in the set that he didn't have was the Doyle variation, as it was discovered after his entire collection had been sold.

Not only that (and I know it sounds far fetched) but he purchased his first Wagner for 20 cents. There's an article out there somewhere from the 70's where he mentions it. Will see if I can track it down.

My first t206 was Otto Krueger, which I dont have anymore. The beauty and simplicity of the Krueger started my craving for more...
