Most historic game you saw in person

I guess a couple stand out:
1. Don Wilson's no- hitter versus the Braves in the Astrodome. It was the first baseball game I went to.
2. The Blue Jays extra inning World Series clincher versus the Braves at Fulton County Stadium in 1992.

Guess mine is 2012 Turner Field in Atlanta...Yankees vs. Braves....A-Rod ties Lou Gehrig for career grand slams...ball hit like 12-15 rows in front of me....so I was on ESPN......could see me with arms held high in celebration.....Yankee fan 4-life

Also saw U Jiminez no-hit the Braves in Atlanta.

I only get to a couple of big league games each year. Toss up between the 1989 All Star game and ARod's 250th home run.

Yount's 3000t hit, All-Star game at Wrigley, two playoff clinching games ; one each at Wrigley and Miller Park, three playoff games at Wrigley.

Probably game 7 of the 1997 World Series, extra inning win for the Marlins.

Also saw in person when Mark McGwire tied and then broke the National League record for homers in a season. In the next game, which i was also at, he hit 2 more, the second giving him 59 for the season. At that time it was so exciting as we didnt know anything about the steroids.

I still have my ticket stubs, parking pass and Kodak photo's taken during and immediately after the game.

2nd place (maybe tied for first): September 30, 1973, the last game at the original House That Ruth Built. I still have the ticket stubs and program to that one.
I remember using by Boy Scout pocket knife to slowly cut through a wooden slat in my seat. Who knew they'd be selling entire seats at Korvette's for 19.99!
I also remember yelling "Houk must go!" with the crowd towards the end of the game, and then feeling bad the next day when I heard that he was fired.

Seeing the "Big Hurt's" 500th hr at the dome and game 163 about 6 years ago. I also remember the '91 world series game 2 when the Twinks took down the Braves.

Cliff Lee's 20th win of his Cy Young season in '08, when he became the first 20 game winner for the Indians since Gaylord Perry in '74. Not much in terms of overall history, but for Cleveland Indians history it's somewhat significant. 34 years between is a fairly long wait..

My Dad was a middle school principal. He convinced his boss to let him off for Sept 10 to go to Cincinnatti to see his favorite player Pete Rose try and break Ty Cobb's hit record. Fortunately his boss let him off and he and I went to the game. Unfortunately Pete went 0-3 that night. My dad and I had to drive back to Bowling Green, KY that night empty handed and disappointed( 3 1/2 hours ). My Dad had just enough nerve to ask off for the next day, Sept 11. We went back that night and got to see hit 4192. We were also interviewed moments after the hit by a local radio person for our thought and reaction. It was so cool at the time how he hugged his son on 1 base and how they pulled a red corvette onto the field to present to Pete for this great accomplishment.
My birthday is Sept. 12, but I received my present on Sept 11 that year by being able to witness history with my Dad.

My father was at the final Opening Day at the Polo Grounds, in 1957.

Since you brought up 4192, I'll mention something I've wondered for awhile now:

Since Cobb has been officially reduced to 4189 hits, instead of the previous total of 4191, why do we never hear anything about hit #4190? Who was it against? Where's the film? Do people care that the hit against Show didn't actually break the record? And so on...

MLB still officially recognizes 4191.. It's outside sources that cite 4189..

I was at the game when Craig Biggio got his 3,000th hit.

After the game they passed out a nice poster with a place to mount your ticket. A few months later Biggio was signing autographs at Minute Maid Park, so I took my poster up there and got in line.

I stood in line for 30-45 minutes, and just when I was about five people from the front of the line, my son, who was about 1-1/2 at the time, took a dump in his diaper and it was NASTY! I mean terrible...everybody was moving away from us. But I had already paid, drove to the ball park, and stood in line. So I walk up to Biggio to get my poster signed and he says "Oh my God. What is that! Get it away from me!" Then he saw my boy and realized what it was. He signed my poster, but he did it with his face turned the opposite direction as if he were trying to find some good air (there wasn't any), so the auto looks a little sloppy. I still framed it. It gives me a little chuckle every time I walk past it.

My boy's 8 now. He plays baseball and knows who Craig Biggio is. When he gets a little older (and has some friends over) I'm going to tell him the story of the time he crapped on a HOFer.

Pete Rose's 4,190th hit was a first inning single at Wrigley Field off Reggie Patterson, on Sep 8, 1985.

He got his 4,191st hit off Patterson in the fifth inning of the same game.

I will actually have two stubs from the game at my booth during the National

Monica Abbott - pitches a perfect game for the Chicago Bandits against the Akron Racers August 5, 2011 at Rosemont Stadium. This happened during the National in Chicago that year. The stadium was a ten minute walk across the street from the convention center.

I was lucky enough to see Williams, Dimaggio, Mantle and Mays play but
the one thing I remember the most was Satchel Paige driveing a ball to center field in Cleveland and being thrown out at first base. Center field was 460 ft away. He just stood there for a moment and watched and then walked to first base with a big smile.

I saw Canseco give my Indians a home run by playing a fly ball off his head and over the fence. As good as any perfect game or World Series clincher.

Saw Steve Carlton get his 15th straight win in 1972 against the Reds. Sort of lost his effectiveness a bit after that game but still had a great year accumulating 46% of the team's wins that season.

My friends and I had tickets to a nondescript late season Astros and Giants game on September 11, 2001. Game gets pushed back to October with Barry Bonds coming to town sitting on 69 home runs. We are sitting in right-center behind the bullpen at Enron Field.

First time he comes up to bat, 500 cram into our section to have a shot at #70 if it happens. Intentional walk. They bring in about 20 ushers to check tickets in our section for the rest of the game. One more intentional walk, hit by pitch, single and pop up.

Two days later he hits #70 and finishes with three more at home. That ticket stub is surreal to look at with all of the negative history tied to it: Sept. 11, Enron and Bonds.

Black Jack (Jack McDowell) flipping off the NY Yankee fans while walking off the mound to boos after a bad outing. I was sitting right behind the 3rd base dugout with my Dad, I remember that one clear as day. I've been to a lot of postseason and WS games, but that one was the gem in my opinion.
