Default If only he hadn't cut 2nd base.

Poor Fred. I hope he never saw this postcard. It's from 1908 and is among the scarcest of early hand-drawn baseball postcards. If you don't know what it's about, do a Google search for "Fred Merkle." For more, visit http://www.sportingoregon.com.

That cutting second is one of my favorites. I have never seen one before. Only in books. Is it as difficult to find as I think?

Very difficult to find. Given the subject matter, it's easy to see how few got saved (unlike a postcard commemorating a World Series victory, for example).
