I have to say, I sort of agree with this. (my top 10 notwithstanding). I love this one for 1) the mixture of photo/picture 2) the fact that it's his sole Topps card 3) he's a on-field and off-field legend 4) I'm from Cleveland and in 1948 he went 6-1 down the stretch to win the pennant, and he drew the largest baseball crowds to that time to a baseball game (a doubleheader with the Yankees, upper 70Ks attendance) 5) It's an uncorrected error card 6) It portrays a now-defunct team (the Browns, though I know they moved) |
