Ted, this has been an absolute treat to read. Thank you! I only wish I had some cards to contribute. Soon, perhaps.

Hey guys,
Just one more once (as Count Basie would say). Does anyone on this forum have (or have seen) any of these 66 cards with 2 different names (top & bottom) ? They don't have to be Sovereign cards....any tobacco brand will suffice (Piedmont, Sweet Cap, Old Mill, Polar Bear, etc.). I'm offering a reward for any different names inputs regarding the 60 subjects listed below. But, regarding the 6 Super-Prints, I am only interested in SOVEREIGN 350 cards of them. Normal Sovereign green ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sovereign "apple green" ![]() ![]() My hypothetical 72-card sheet (which may also have been printed in a 12 x 12 card format of 144 cards) v................................................. Six super-prints .................................................. v ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here is the list of these 66 subjects displayed here on this simulated 72-card sheet............ Six Super-Prints Chance (yellow portrait) Chase (blue portrait) Chase (dark cap) Cobb (red portrait) Evers (Chicago-yellow sky) Mathewson (dark cap) 60 subjects Ames (hands over head) Baker Bender (no trees) Berger Bradley (bat) M. Brown (Chicago) Burch (fielding) Cobb (bat off shoulder) Conroy (bat) Crawford (bat) Harry Davis (A's) Donlin (bat) Doolan (bat) Dougherty (arm in air) Downey (bat) Joe Doyle (arms over head) Larry Doyle (bat) Elberfeld (Washington-fielding) Griffith (bat) Jennings (one hand) Jennings (two hands) Johnson (pitching) Jordan (bat) Joss (pitching) Kleinow (NY-catching) Konetchy (glove low) Lajoie (bat) Lake, St. Louis (no ball) Leach (cap) Leifeld (bat) Magee (bat) Manning (pitching) McIntyre (Brooklyn & Chicago) McQuillan (bat) Mullin (bat) Murphy (bat) Nichols (bat) O'Leary (hands on knees) Overall (yellow sky) Pelty (vertical) Pfeister (throwing) Reulbach (no glove) Rhoades (arm at face level) Rucker (throwing) Seymour (throwing) F. Smith (white cap) Snodgrass (catching) Stahl (glove) Steinfeldt (bat) Street (catching) Sweeney (fielding) Tinker (bat off shoulder) Wagner (bat on right) Doc White (Chicago-pitching) Wilhelm (bat) Willetts Willis (throwing) Willis (bat) Wiltse (pitching) CYoung (glove) Note That I show the 6 super-print cards Double-Printed (D-P) on this sheet. Several surveys over the years have consistently indicated that these 6 super-prints were D-P relative to the other 60 subjects on this sheet. Thanks guys, TED Z . |

Love reading this thread & soaking in all the information you present. Wish I could contribute something to your "exotic back" or "double-name" research but as you know all my cards are either early Piedmont or Sweet Cap.
Anyhow, THANKS for all the time & effort you put forth to expand our thinking on the T206 horizon.
