I have an All-Star Game Press pin from the '30s or '40s that was in possession of my grandfather, Billy Sullivan, Jr., who was a player at the time. I always wondered why he had it. Was it common for players to get these? Does it mean that he might have been acting in some press capacity at a game, or were these pins just given out to players that asked for them or were perhaps invited as a guest?
