I agree that teams need to let these "almost done with their prime players", walk. I'm very surprised some of these teams sign these huge, long term deals when they know these players only have probably 3-5 years left in the tank of serious baseball.
One thing to think about though is the amount of revenue these teams will generate because of these superstars joining their team. I'm sure when pujols joined the Angels, their merchandise profit blew up quite a bit. It's easy to think in just baseball terms, but if you really think about it, it's not all about winning, but making money on and off the field. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
