I think this might be my first time posting a legitimate pre-war pickup in here... and more importantly...

this is my FIRST t206 Picked this one up today (with the help and encouragement of my wife) - scanner is offline for the time being, so I had to use the camera...

It's a beater and there are two specks of paper loss on the back - but the crease doesn't take away from Matty's face, and the registration and colors look great in person... and did I mention, it's my first t206.

I'm not a t206 guy, but I love this card! Great centering and "great condition for the technical grade" card!

My February + March pickups:
1) A trimmed OJ with a sharp image
2) A colorful 19th century trade card that shows the old school game (e.g., players standing on the bag)
3) One of the few non-photographic, pre-war cards that depicts a player sliding in the dirt

Default 1916 Ruth and Red Sox v. Laconia, New Hampshire local team

"Mr. Ruth, pitcher" and others on a 1916 post-season barnstorming trip at Laconia, New Hampshire. The second one of the local team they played and lost to is a recent acquisition. For more on that game and other unusual postcards, major and minor league, visit http://www.sportingoregon.com/.

Shaun,

Nice Matty for your first T206. Probably not your last. The Monster's draw can be quite strong.

Marty

Picked this one up last night. Not a huge fan of the issue, but I do like this card.

Happy to have picked up this card - one of the best t206 poses with one of my favorite backs. A couple of nicks around his face but the back is in excellent condition.

Picked up this baseball themed trade card from Columbus. Don't know much about it, but I have all day at work for research, haha.
