Welcome to the board...

So far, it seems like we've got a solid group of newbies this year. No one's tried to sell us the Nun's Wagner yet..

Not intending to steal 33rd Steet's thunder, but I'm also new to the forums. Located in Northeast Iowa the entire duration and pushing 40 years as a collector. Recently, my focus has been pre-war St. Louis Cardinal cards. Lofty goals, limited budget, & lots of time. Thanks for letting me participate!

Welcome to the 2 new guys.

Now to the scammer part. I have not been here a year yet so I am kind of new. I have this gem mint 61 Topps Mickey Mantle for sale first $250 takes it. The only thing I ask is please disregard my post in the March pickup thread in the Post War section saying it is counterfeit and I got it from a friend. That was all a lie. It was given to me by my Grampa who got it directly from Mickey Mantle for his birthday last week so I know it is real.

Yeah. That was just the Mafia, telling people that it was fake, so that it would drive down the price and they could get it for cheap..

I'd also like to welcome Casey to the board. Enjoy!!!

Sounds like you found the right place, welcome to the board. There's no shortage of great guys and info here, you'll be right at home

However sorry to have to tell you this, but the AL East has already been wrapped up by my Yankees

There's always the battle for 2nd place with the Sox to look forward to though

MyGuyTy,

I'm still riding the high from 2012! Think the east is going to be a complete dogfight this year. I'm predicting 2nd in the east for the Birds but it won't be seconds to the Yanks. C'mon there's no way you can feel good about your infield this year it's like me saying I have complete confidence in the Birds starting rotation

I'm at peace with it, lol. I think the lineup (although a little long in the tooth) is plenty good enough to take it this year. I'm more worried about how well the pitching comes together for us, not so much the run and defensive production. We've some big bats all through the order if they can stay healthy. It all gonna come down to pitching this year for NY. I mean we won 85 games last year with a mash unit as the majority of the team was devastated by injuries all year. With a MUCH stronger team this year and everybody playing, should be a big improvement....I hope.
