It's shipping and handling. It's the handling part that is subjective and can be wildly manipulated .

Ah, I didn't think of the handling. I only thought it could potentially be fraud because if the USPS states insurance costs X amount and you charge Y amount, that may be against some kind of government regulation.

In my experience they don't ship USPS.

It's not fraud, it's just how they conduct their business.

If they want to nickel and dime someone who spent a few grand on baseball cards then I guess that's their choice.

Over $100 to ship 1 card. How much "handling" is going on? I'm the one getting handled.

It reminds me when you buy car and the dealer tacks on a bunch or BS fees after you make a deal.

Default Postage

Here are actual Postage Rates from the USPS site:
$0.01 to $50 = $1.95
50.01 to 100 = 2.45
100.01 to 200 = 3.05
200.01 to 300 = 5.10
300.01 to 400 = 6.25
400.01 to 500 = 6.40
500.01 to 600 = 8.55
600.01 to 5,000 = $8.55 plus $1.15 per $100 or fraction thereof over $600 in declared value
(maximum liability is $5000)

You can see for yourself that they are charging you an accurate and fair rate, They use our shipping calculator that goes to the service that they use (UPS, USPS etc...) and gets real time prices for shipping. Based on this table (which is pretty standard for all services, you would pay $92 for an $8000 item.

Did you look at the web site and see for yourself what the rates would be or did you just get upset at having to pay that amount?

We can have the government get right on that - coming up with another regulation. Far too few in my opinion.

On Legendary's site they state that they ship FedEx ground and not USPS.
